About – Embsay Primary School PTA

Our group is called Embsay C of E Primary School PTA and has been running for a number of years as a registered charity. The PTA is run by a committee of parents, carers and friends who are all volunteers. We’re supported by the school’s teaching staff along with local businesses who sometimes donate to support the PTA’s efforts.

Our mission

“To raise money for the school and bring the community together, all whilst having fun.”

The main function of our PTA is to support the school by raising as much money as we can to enhance, enrich and improve learning experiences for the children. We also provide those ‘little extras’ that make school memorable, such as movie nights, the summer fair and of course the odd disco!

We also bring the communities of school and home closer together because it is important for parents to be involved in the life of their children’s school.

Lastly, we’re here for the simple reason that we want to get together socially, meet new people and have fun!

Objectives for the next year

In the next 12 months, with your help we’d love to:

~~Raise £9,549 by 1st November 2024 to buy two new goal units for the playground.~~ Achieved
Raise funds to buy new phonics books, a theatre workshop for World Book Day 2025 and to repair the broken climbing frame in the playground.
Deliver events to bring the school community together.
To establish systems and processes to facilitate the smooth running of the PTA and increase inclusivity.
